Lot 175a Third Reich Dress Tunic.
M-35 Waffenrock dress tunic of a highly decorated "Oberfeldwebel" (Master Sergeant) of the Infantry. Soft wool blend, dark green collar, no exterior pockets, sewn in shoulder boards, white infantry waffenfarbe with complete NCO tress and two pips denoting rank with "83" and buttons stamped "7" marked "P.C. & Co. (Paul Cremer & Co.), Bevo breast eagle machine sewn to tunic, totally intact. Collar litzen also has white waffenfarbe with NCO tress edges. Cuff litzen is white backed with NCO tress, The 8 tunic buttons are maker marked "Motz, (C.W. Metz & Co. of Brandenburg). All original stitching including the medal loops. Tunic is lined with a olive green wool blend material, sword/dagger hanger slit. The inside lining is ink stamped with sizes and "B 37" indicating acceptance at the Frankfurt uniform depot in 1937. Iron Cross 2nd class sewn in the 3rd button hole. Original medals attached to the left breast are the Iron cross 1st class marked L/21 (Förster and Barth of Pforzheim), wound badge in silver marked "30" (Hauptmünzamt in Vienna, Austria), the Infantry assault Badge marked "OCH, feint (Otto Co. Heer). Above then is a 3 medal ribbon bar with the war merit cross with swords, the eastern front medal and the Occupation of the Sudetenland medal, at the top is the rare maker bronze Close Combat badge marked with stylized “GWL” in a circle maker mark of the firm of Gebrüder Wegerhoff in Lüdenscheid. Also a 1st Pattern Heer / Army Marksmanship Lanyard, Grade III (Two Acorns). This earlier version has a simple Heer Shield Medallion with field gray lining on reverse, correctly attached with button under the right shoulder board. Overall excellent condition.
